Colour Connotations

Colours have different meanings on this post I have examples of different colours and explained in detail their meanings. I could take inspiration from this post and use some of the colours in my music magazine, for example pink and purple would work well in my magazine, as my magazine is a teenage girls magazine and these colours are very feminine. 
Blue is a colour that repersents happiness, it can symbolic understanding and knowledge is this important when creating my magazine as it shows that I have a good knowledge and understanding of the pop music industry. Blue has connotations of the  sky, this could highlight that it is a calm colour. Blue is also seen as trustworthy and dependable this could reflect that the my magazine has reliable information and news about the pop music industry. 
Red is a very visbable colour and stands out from the crowd, this is why red is used for stop signs. Red is a very feminie colour and signifies love, romance and friendship.It also has negative connotations such as blood, danger and anger.I could use the colour red in my magazine to make my magazine bold and stand out.
Pink is a very feminine colour it symbolics fun and excitement. Pink is a colour that reflects happiness. It also highlights love and romance, my magazine is aimed at teenage girls so I could use pink to repersent the target audience.
Purple is a colour that symbolics royalty, this reflects that purple is an important colour. For example I could highlight all of the key and important information in my magazines in purple to show the importance of it. It is also a feminine colour and purple is highlighted with luxury and creativity.
Yellow is a sunny colour which makes people feel happy. It is a bright colour so stands out which is important in a music magazine. Its associated with warmth, happiness and cheerful feelings. It also highlight loyalty however dull yellow can be associated with negative connotations such as sickness and jealousy. I could use yellow in my magazine to associate my magazine with happiness.
Orange is a mixed of red and yellow. This means the connotations can come from the colours red and yellow, for example it highlights energy which comes from the colour red and joy and happiness which comes from the colour yellow. Orange is a warm colour and is eye catching. I could orange is my magazine for example on the title as it would be welcoming.
Green is the colour that is associated with nature which is very important in society, it can highlight peace. It repersents freshness, cool and warmth. But it also has negative connotations such as jealousy and greed. I could use green in my magazine to show the importance of my magazine.
