Target Audience

I am creating my music magazine for teenage girl’s age around 15-17 years old. My magazine is based on the music genre of pop. The target audience for my magazine will have a big interest in pop music, like finding out about the latest pop industry news and also have an interest in fashion. My target audience is likely to enjoy hobbies such as socializing with friends, attending music concerts and shopping. I would be advertising and selling my magazine at pop music concerts for example a Jessie J concert. I have found from the polls that I have set up on my blog that 100% of the people that took part read magazines for entertainment, this is very important for me to take into consideration. I need to make sure that my magazine is entertaining towards my target audience I can do this by having creative photographs, interesting interview with the music artist Victoria Perry, fun and exciting layout. 35% of people who completed my poll questions on my blog said yes they would visit a magazines website and 47% of people said that they might visit a magazines website. Because of these results I will include a website address for my music magazine on my front cover or contents page, this way people will be able to connect to the magazine’s website to find out latest news, events, a new music. I’ve found out that new media is very important to my target audience all of the people who took part in my poll questions said that they are connected to facebook or twitter. I will have a facebook and twitter account for my magazine which people will be able to follow to find out dairy information on pop music. I have found that my target audience want to find out a verity of different things about artists these include upcoming tours, new albums, signing events and twitter accounts. People who read my magazine will want to know up to date news about the about pop music artist, my magazine will be able to provide this information to the target audience every fortnight. 46% of people have said in my poll that they read the latest news section in magazines, I will make sure that I will included latest news about the music artist Victoria Perry in my double page spread so that I am meeting the wants and needs of my target audience.
